Croatian Renato Novosel (Go Eleven Kawasaki) had his most encouraging race weekend of the European Superstock 600cc season to date after racing solidly to 26th at Portimao yesterday.
The youngster who continues to improve session by session, race by race, began the weekend well taking 28th on the grid and once again closing the gap to the riders in front.
By the time the race began the wind had picked up at the undulating and technical Portimao circuit and after making a good start, avoiding the carnage at turn one in which several riders fell, he rode solidly to finish a respectable 26th after a race long 12 lap battle.
The Superstock 600cc riders have a two month gap now until the championship resumes in Jerez for the penultimate round.
Renato Novosel – “Today was another step forward. I am continuing to improve and this is the main thing. I want to say thank you to all my team for their work and their support and I am looking forward riding my Go Eleven Kawasaki again in Spain at the next round.”
