A dry race one looked like giving Team Hero EBR a top twenty finish but a double retirement caused by a yet unknown technical problem for both Aaron Yates and Geoff May has resulted in the team opting to miss race two this afternoon.
Giulio Bardi – Team Manager: “With the double technical failure we will not participate in race two later today. We need to fully understand and rectify the problem so that we can continue to move forward as we have been at Imola in a fortnight. Geoff and Aaron made more positive steps this weekend and to have the problems in the race is frustrating as we were fighting with other riders when it mattered. The team are all still motivated and we just have to move on to the next race.”

La prima delle due manche di Superbike si è corsa questa mattina sull’asciutto ed ha consentito al Team Hero EBR un finale nella Top 20. Ma, a causa del doppio ritiro causato da un problema tecnico alle moto di Aaron Yates e Geoff May, la squadra ha preferito rinunciare a correre la seconda delle due gare previste.
Giulio Bardi – Team Manager: “A causa del doppio problema tecnico che abbiamo dovuto affrontare, non correremo gara 2. Abbiamo bisogno di capire a fondo cosa non abbia funzionato e risolvere il problema, in modo da riprendere lo sviluppo alle nostre moto in vista della prossima tappa di Imola, tra un paio di settimane. Geoff ed Aaron hanno fatto dei positivi passi in avanti questo week-end ed è stato frustrante per loro dover abbandonare la corsa proprio mentre lottavano con altri piloti. La squadra è pienamente motivata e adesso vogliamo solo concentrarci sulla prossima corsa.”
