Hungarian Balazs Nemeth has qualified 26th for the inaugural World Supersport championship race in Turkey after an encouraging final session saw him closer to the front runners than in previous races.
Nemeth has been showing signs of returning to the kind of form that he displayed in the season opener in Phillip Island, and a recent test seems to be paying dividends.
The Complus SMS Honda rider, like many other riders in the series is visiting the Intercity park circuit close to Istanbul for the first time, and despite a few concerns with grip levels on the opening day is feeling confident ahead of the 16 lap race tomorrow.
Balazs Nemeth: “It’s the first time that I have been here but I am enjoying it. I like the layout and am learning all the time. 26th is not so bad because we are closer to the front than we have been. I will do my best tomorrow and see what we can achieve.”
