After overcoming the technical issues of the previous races and after posting some impressive times in the damp final qualifying session, Denmark’s Alex Schacht’s encouraging ride in today’s World Supersport race at the Nurburgring came to an abrupt end on the final lap of what had been his best race of the season, as another technical problem took it’s toll on the Racing Team Toth rider.
Schacht has learned this season that racing can be tough and although it has been frustrating at times, remains positive that things can only get better.
Taking the positives from the weekend, Alex can be proud that he has shown that he can still fight hard after making some audacious moves until he was forced to retire.
The eleventh round of the championship will take place in a fortnight at the Istanbul Raceway in Turkey.
