Kiwi Jake Lewis will start tomorrow’s 7 lap PATA European Junior Cup race from the 3rd row in 8th position after today’s official qualifying session saw the top 14 riders covered by a little more than a second.
There were nervous moments before the session, as everyone was hoping that small technical problem which happened yesterday was fixed, allowing Jake to challenge for a top grid placing.
With so many riders looking for a ‘tow’, Jake found himself with a group of riders going slower than him, which halted any chance of moving higher.
He is prepared for a tough fight tomorrow in what many are expecting to be the highlight of the race programme if the previous intense results are anything to go by.
