In Alex Baldolini, Qualifying, World Supersport

After missing virtually the entire opening free practice session yesterday, Alex Baldolini rescued a credible 18th position in qualifying for the 6th round of the World Supersport championship in Portimao this afternoon.

The likeable Italian who returned to his former Suriano Team at Donington park is still learning the Suzuki machine and both he and the team are happy with the progress that they are making.

Both he and team mate Mathew Scholz are making good progress every time they take to the track and with the times so close, a top ten finish for ‘baldo’ is possible tomorrow.

The 20 lap World Supersport race at the undulating Portuguese circuit is scheduled to start at 1330 local time.
