The final qualifying session for the 5th round of the World Supersport championship ended with a crash for Alex Schacht at the uphill Mcleans corner at Donington Park this afternoon.
After suffering a clutch problem in the day’s earlier free practice session, Alex was looking much more comfortable aboard his Racing Team Toth Honda but with less than ten minutes to go, an incident involving the reigning British Supersport champion left the likeable Dane with nowhere to go, ending his session on the floor.
Nevertheless, Alex has made the qualifying maxima and will start tomorrow’s 22 lap race from 32nd on the grid where he is hopeful of fighting hard to improve his finishing position.
