Aussie youngster Matt Davies has had a day of ups and downs at the 3rd round of the World Supersport championship in Assen today.
This mornings session couldn’t have gone any worse for the youngest rider in the series after a crash early on in free practice destroyed his PTR Honda meaning a complete bike rebuild before final qualifying.
His team worked hard for several hours which enabling the former European Junior Cup champion to qualify albeit further down the field that he was hoping.
The events of the day mean Davies will start tomorrow’s 21 lap race from the 11th row of the grid in 31st position.
