In Alex Baldolini, Qualifying, Race Results, World Supersport

After a difficult start to his 2013 campaign, Italian Alex Baldolini showed a glimpse of the speed that we know he has by securing a provisional second row start for the 3rd round of the World Supersport championship in Assen earlier today.

The Lorini Honda rider left until towards the end of the session to put in a series of fast laps and end the 45 minute session in a respectable 6th position.

The conditions during qualifying were far from ideal as the rain continued to fall meaning very tricky conditions for the riders.

Whatever the weather tomorrow and looking ahead to final qualifying, Alex is hopeful of repeating today’s performance and is confident that the team are not too far away in terms of setup.

Alex Baldolini – Lorini Honda: “The engine feels good and I have a good feeling with the bike in the wet. Towards the end of the session I was with some slower riders so it was a little difficult to improve more. We are not so far from the fastest time in the rain so we will see what we can do tomorrow.”

Final qualifying will commence at 1605 local time tomorrow.
