Lorini Honda rider Alex Baldolini is confident of strong point scoring finish despite having to start the opening race of the World Supersport Championship from 20th position.
Despite running 7th in the morning session the Italian was unable to improve when it mattered and will therefore have to start from the 7th row of the grid tomorrow.
Alex Baldolini (20th) – ‘This morning wasn’d bad and I finished 7th. This afternoon there was more wind and we tried a different setting which wasn’t as good so I couldn’t improve my times. We will change the setting again for tomorrow if it works we can aim for the top ten which is where I must be. The worst case is that we must score some solid points.’
The race is scheduled to start at 1330 local time and run over 15 laps of the Phillip Island circuit.
