The youngest competitor in this year’s World Supersport Championship showed no sign of nerves as he took to the track in the opening qualifying session of the 2013 season at Phillip Island earlier today.
17 year old Aussie Matt Davies has ridden with a great maturity since joining the PTR Honda team over the winter and after qualifying in a very credible 25th so far has every reason to be pleased.
Team Manager and former racer Simon Buckmaster is putting no pressure on Matt and everyone is looking forward to the results that should be achieved as the season progresses.
The plan for tomorrow is improve again and with only 0.6 seconds up to 15th a point scoring finish on Sunday is not out of the question.
