19 year old Alex Schacht joins an ever growing list of former Superstock 600cc riders to make the step up to the World Supersport Championship for 2013.
The talented Dane, put to pen to paper on Sunday and will line up for his debut World Championship season with the vastly experienced Racing Team Toth.
Alex made huge steps forward last year narrowly missing out on the podium in several races on his way to 4th place overall in the European Superstock 600cc Championship and will be looking to once again lock horns with other Superstock graduates Michael Van Der Mark, Matt Davies and Nacho Calero to name but a few.
”I am delighted and extremely excited and proud to have signed for Toth Racing” commented Alex. “They have a huge amount of experience and success in both the GP and WSBK paddocks and I know that they are the right team for me to make my debut appearance in World Championship competition.”
The opening round of the 2013 World Supersport Championship takes place on February 24th at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia.
