Matt Davies slipped from 7th to 14th position on the grid in final qualifying at the Portimao circuit in Portugal earlier today.
The conditions today were hotter than yesterday and this did cause some problems for a number of riders in terms of grip levels on track.
Despite the drop in position he is confident of a strong showing in the race.
“We made some changes for the session today but I think that we go back to yesterday’s set up for the race” commented Matt. “This will give me a better feeling and allow me to push again”
The 9th round of the UEM Superstock 600cc Championship is scheduled to run tomorrow at 1800 local time over 10 laps.
