With the sun shining brightly, the conditions were almost perfect for the official qualifying sessions for the KTM European Junior Cup at the Nurburgring in Germany.
Having been fastest yesterday, it was Austrian Lukas Wimmer who once again topped the time sheets ahead of the battling Bogdanka riders Artur Wielsbski and Adrian Pasek.
Wildcard rider Kyran De Lange from South Africa rode superbly to claim the final spot on the front row of the grid for tomorrow’s race.
Row two will see Gaston Garcia, Christian Vidal, Federico Fazzina and Jean-Francois Demoulin with Javi Orellana, Sepp Scarcella, Stinius Viking Odegard and Brit Jamie Patterson on Row three.
Robin Stehr (who is also wildcarding this weekend) continued to familiarise himself with the KTM 690cc machine and ended the session in 17th.
The European Junior Cup has delivered some excellent racing this year and judging by the times in today’s qualifying session, tomorrow will be no exception.
The race is scheduled to go ahead at 1435 local time over 7 laps.
