Jake Lewis will start tomorrow’s 4th round of the PATA European Junior Cup powered by Honda from 3rd position after securing his first front row start of the season in Imola this afternoon.
After a steady to start to the weekend, the winner of the opening round of the championship was in determined mood earlier today instantly improving his times from yesterday. After initially matching yesterday’s best on his first flying lap, he knocked a further 0.6 seconds off with his next circulation.
With 12 minutes to go Jake had posted the fastest lap of the weekend and was looking good for provisional pole position until a late charge from Guillaume Raymond and James Flitcroft relegated the Kiwi to 3rd.
After the session Jake was more than happy and is looking forward to making the most of a clear track at the start.
The 9 lap race will take place tomorrow at 1435 local time.
