Alex Schacht from Denmark took his Racing Team Toth Honda to 28th on the grid ahead of Sunday’s 7th round of the World Superbike championship at Imola this afternoon.
Having had a few technical problems in the opening session, the likeable youngster looked much more comfortable this afternoon and after using a different strategy is confident of further advancements tomorrow.
Alex Schacht: “This afternoon was much better. Last year here when I rode in the Superstock class I didn’t really enjoy the circuit but today I have a lot of confidence and I am enjoying riding the bike. We had a few small problems with electronics this morning and we don’t have all of our mechanics with us but my dad and the guys helping this weekend are doing a great job.”
Grid Position after 1st qualifying session: 28th
Final Qualifying is scheduled to take place tomorrow afternoon after the Superbike Tissot Superpole session.
