In H-Moto, Qualifying, World Supersport

After finishing 10th in the opening free practice session at Assen earlier today, Hungarian Balazs Nemeth was full of optimism ahead of official qualifying this afternoon.

Balazs who is competing for the ComPlus SMS Honda team this year was loving the wet conditions and was hoping that the rain would continue, especially as it meant less strain on his still damaged collarbone.

A few suspension tweaks between sessions seemed to have worked and mid session, he was running comfortably inside the top 6.

As the other riders began to push harder, the times and the riders began to tumble.  Unfortunately, Balazs was one of the riders to be caught out by the ever changing conditions, thankfully without further injury.

With one more session to go to determine the grid positions for Sunday’s race, Nemeth is hopeful of improving on his current 18th position tomorrow.

Free Practice: 1.53.008 (10th), Qualifying 1: 2.08.250 (18th)
