Aussie sensation Matt Davies will start his debut World Supersport Race from 29th position at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia tomorrow.
The youngster who joined the experienced PTR Honda team over the winter has been improving steadily throughout the weekend although was unable to improve his Friday time earlier today.
That said, Matt is confident of improving his position in the race and is aiming for a top 20 finish at the end of the 15 lap battle which is scheduled to start at 1330 local time tomorrow.
Matt Davies (29th) – ‘Qualifying 2 didn’t go as well as I would have liked but I am still happy with what I have achieved so far this weekend. P29 isn’t ideal but it is a big and experienced field and I have learnt a lot this weekend. I am looking forward to starting my first WSS race tomorrow and I will be pushing for a top 20 finish.’
