In Jake Lewis, Qualifying

PATA European Junior Cup powered by Honda championship leader Jake Lewis took his first pole position of 2013 with a blistering lap in the final minutes of qualifying at the Nurburgring, Germany earlier today.

The flying Kiwi was already looking comfortable in 2nd when with three minutes of the session remained he found some clear tarmac to secure his maiden Pole Position grid start with a circuit best lap at the iconic circuit in the Eiffel mountains.

Jake has looked calm and collected all weekend and chose not to show his hand in yesterday’s free practice session.

Tomorrow’s 9 lap race could see Lewis secure his 3rd win of the season but with 3 races to go, the plan is to stay out of trouble and secure as many points as possible.

Jake Lewis – Pole Position: “Today I was able to make a perfect lap and I am very happy to claim my first pole position. The race will be a different story as there are a lot of fast riders who can win. I will be giving it my best as always and I hope to do the best result that I can and hopefully we can extend the lead in championship. Thank you once again to everyone who is helping me this year.”

The 6th round of the PATA European Junior Cup will take place after the World Supersport race.
