In Matt Davies, Qualifying, World Supersport

Matt Davies will begin tomorrow’s final qualifying session for the 9th round of the World Supersport championship buoyed by a trouble free Friday which saw him claim a provisional 27th on the grid ahead of Sunday’s race.

Matt, who lives in the UK for the majority of the racing season looks upon Silverstone as his ‘home’ race outside of his native Australia and the young Australian rode confidently in both sessions today, working hard on a ‘perfect’ set-up with his PTR Honda machine.

As always, the times between the top riders in Supersport is ultra close and just a few tenths improvement should see Matt elevate himself towards the top 20, which will give him a great opportunity to battle for that elusive first World Championship point.

Matt Davies – PTR Honda: “It’s been good today.  We made some improvements that saw us improve our times. If the weather holds, and the rain stays away we should be able to move further forward tomorrow.”
