In Brandon Kyee, FIM Europe Stock 600, Qualifying

Brandon Kyee, bounced back from a crash in first qualifying yesterday to secure 33rd on the grid for this afternoon’s 3rd round of the UEM Superstock 600cc championship.

With yesterday’s conditions wet, Brandon looked comfortable in free practice, posting a time well inside the top 15, but in the afternoon the SCHACHT Racing Honda rider had a ‘brain fart’ and lost control going into turn one. Luckily Brandon was unhurt in the tumble, as the approach speed is over 155mph even on a stock machine.

In today’s all important grid deciding session Brandon was one of the first riders to take the track completing a handful of laps before returning to the pits to make some minor changes.

The hard charging young American, has impressed in the opening two races by being the highest placed rider to progress from the European Junior Cup in both Aragon and Assen, narrowly missing a point scoring finish in both events and with the sun still expected to shine when the race starts at 1800 local time, Brandon and the SCHACHT Racing team are confident of another strong showing.
